Hanron Lighting Expands COB Lighting Solution to Offer Consistent Illumination for Commercial and Residential Projects

SHENZHEN, China — August 31, 2026 — Hanron Lighting Co., Ltd., a Shenzhen-based LED lighting manufacturer with 16 years in the industry, today announced an expansion of its Chip-on-Board (COB) LED strip product line, adding new configurations designed for consistent, uniform illumination in commercial and residential settings.

COB strip lights differ from conventional LED strips in construction: the LED chip is mounted directly onto the printed circuit board (PCB) and covered with a phosphor-infused packaging layer. According to the company, this design produces more even light distribution across the strip compared to traditional SMD (surface-mounted device) strips, which rely on discrete, individually visible diodes.

The expanded product line is aimed at designers and architects working on interior projects — such as accent walls, textured surfaces, and architectural detailing — where consistent, shadow-free lighting is a design requirement. Hanron says the new China COB LED strip factory lineup is intended to address inconsistencies commonly associated with aluminum-profile LED strip installations.

Per company specifications, the new COB strips include:

• Individually addressable pixels, allowing per-segment brightness and color control
• A wider luminous angle of 180 degrees, compared with approximately 120 degrees for standard SMD strips
• Faster heat dissipation, attributed to the chip’s direct contact with the PCB
• A rated operational lifespan of up to 50,000 hours
• ISO 9001:2015 certification for manufacturing quality processes
• A 3- to 5-year product warranty

Hanron states that independent lab testing accompanies each production run, though third-party verification of the above specifications was not provided at the time of this release.

A Hanron Lighting spokesperson commented: “As a COB LED strip manufacturer China with our own manufacturing facility, we developed this line to give designers more flexibility in how they light architectural features, backdrops, and display areas. Our goal with this expansion is to give customers more consistent output without changing how the strips are installed.”
